Red Kite
Having gone back to work Monday after my week off I "discovered" I had another day booked off for today. I had to call in for a conference call but then the day was mine.
Blues skies and warm sun tempted me to head over to Greys Court - a National Trust property in the Chiltern Hills near Henley-on-Thames. The gardens were full of spring flowers, including Hyacinths which gave off a wonderful heady scent. But for me the highlight of the day were the Red Kites hovering over the grounds. I saw one with a large beak-full of twigs but wasn't quick enough to capture it. I was pleased with this sone though caught as one flew quite low over me.
