To Swim or Not To Swim

I have a bit of a dilemma - my David Lloyd membership ends on Saturday and whilst I was planning on starting swimming at the Lido when it opens, I'm having doubts that I'll be able to swim my lengths like I do at the moment.  Firstly, I very much doubt they will section off lanes, and during the school holidays its going to be packed so it'll be a case of dodging people.  My other concern what I would do during the winter months when it's closed.

David Lloyd is quite expensive, but I currently swim three times a week, and when I've sat down and worked out how much it would cost to use a public swimming pool three times per week, the cost isn't that much different and that's only for swimming, where as, at DL I can use the gym and classes if I want.

Anyway, my dilemma has been made worse because I received a telephone call from DL tonight, offering me a 'deal', although it's not that much of a deal really, but if I accept their offer before my current membership expires, they'll give me April for free, and I don't have to be on a years' contract, I would only have to give three months' notice at any time.  .As my membership expires on Saturday, I've got to let them know tomorrow which doesn't give me much time to decide!

The other thing is that with the DL membership, I can use the gym where Rachel lives, and swimming is something that Scarlett and I do together. So the clock's ticking and I don't know what to do!   I've emailed the Lido to see if they can answer my questions, but I doubt they'll get back to me that quick.

This is the lido pool with two months to go before it officially opens, and then work starts on the building.

Despite that, I've had a lovely day - I went swimming his morning, then met Vanessa for lunch in Lewes and we actually sat out in the sun as it was 20 degrees!  I popped into Elif's shop to see her on my way home and then sat in the garden and read my book.  Once Alan was home we took the boys out - we didn't walk down to the beach today, but we still covered 2 miles.

Anyway, I'll get back to my deliberating!
