Painting the town yellow
An early start - a meeting at school about Smallest at 8.15.
I nipped into town for a coffee with Clare then nipped back up the hill to school to join Smallest's class and back down again to The Moor. The start of the Falmouth Spring Festival is the 'paint the town yellow'.
40,000 daffodils were supplied and children wandered the streets giving away the flowers. The scent from them before we set off was overpowering but beautiful. It was actually lovely and people at so happy to be given them for no reason. One of my better school 'trips'.
Home for a quick Choaks pasty dinner then back out to the school for Smallest's class learning cafe. Always a treat. No really.
Home for the final time after collecting tea. Not a single club or commitment to ferry children to (although I did have to drop a sleeping mat off at a Brownie's before tea). Blissful. A BBQ tea and Eastenders watched 'live' for the first time in about forever.
