Mohawk on an Island
The boy wanted to have a mohawk today...we put enough product in his hair to sink a battle ship and it still didn't do as it was told.
We are like an Island surrounded by water....the schools are closed..our shopping center is closed ...all around us is flooded...the rain has not stopped tipping down for a couple of days now...but especially heavy for the last 24hrs.
Already there is a lot of devastation up the coast from cyclone Debbie (what a piddly name for a HUGE cyclone...sorry for all the Debbies no offence intended.) and I think there will be some cleaning up to do in our town too.......especially as our river is just about to burst its banks if the rain keeps up.
“I love a sunburnt country,
A land of sweeping plains,
Of ragged mountain ranges,
Of droughts and flooding rains.
I love her far horizons,
I love her jewel-sea,
Her beauty and her terror –
The wide brown land for me!”

On a more lighter not though I did mention to Jaiya that we now have a water front property.
