The girls football team at school had Guy Hadland (an ex-Aston Villa player) come in to coach them today. It was a very proud moment for my youngest when he told her she was a great little player with huge potential. She just smiled, shrugged her shoulders and said yeah, maybe!! Maybe???!!! She's just so bloody hard to please that girl. She'll score 3 goals and yet she analyses the two goals she missed. Or the many great tackles she wins and then she beats herself that she didn't get her head above the defender on the last corner kick.

Oh now that was weird; I'm writing things down describing my daughter and I might as well be talking about myself. That poor girl is going to beat herself up for years worrying that she's not quite good enough. Unfortunately for her she has me as a mother and I will be making sure she knows how bloody brilliant she is and how proud I am of her.
