Bridge at the Brittania

This is a section of the Water of Leith near the Brittania Hotel, just before Dean Village. The pathway to the right of the picture overhangs the water and the metal path sections are getting rather rusty and rickety. It bounces away as you walk along it - it's quite fun really, especially if there is someone walking in the opposite direction.  Unfortunately this year I have really seen a difference in the mess of rubbish tangled up in the trees and bushes lining the water. It really takes away from the beauty of this walk.  Clean-ups are organised by locals when the weather is better but unfortunately alot of the rubbish is caught up in the branches of dead trees which are out in the middle of the water.  Hopefully this won't be too detrimental to the large amount of ducks that congregate at this section.
