A sad day for both Britain and Europe, IMHO.

In London for work and hid from watching the news this evening by taking myself to the cinema in Bloomsbury to see a random obscure film. I used to do that quite a bit when I lived in Newcastle and could go to the lovely Tyneside. I got out of the habit in Edinburgh. I'll see how often I take myself on dates to the Eastgate in Peebles.
