Monet, Monet

Today was our 'Experience Outcome'. A fancy way of showing off the work the children have been doing this term.
We've been looking at The Impressionists, particularly Monet and this afternoon we opened our Art Gallery to the parents.
As well the display of their amazing Monet inspired water colours, the children had written art critiques, made picture frames, written and recorded water-themed music and made and served French themed refreshments (cheese and 'wine')
They did a brilliant job of welcoming the visitors and presenting their work.
I was SO proud of them and all that they had achieved.
It was a huge undertaking but worth it to see how proud the children were and the hall full of parents and grandparents enjoying the children's work.
A great but tiring day.
