ROYALTY IN STEAM

Our trip aboard steam locomotive Royal Scot today as part of the 50 Years Anniversary of the NYMR. Here she is just after taking on coal and showing off her steamy side.
It was surprisingly quiet on the early train so our wake-up call was well worth it.
Royal Scot 46100 climbed out of Grosmont with Black Five 45212 at the rear to provide some extra traction on the wet rails up to Goathland.
A very grand trip . . . Extras include Climb Down as an engineer leaves the loco at Pickering . . . and On Show as Royal Scot returns to Grosmont.
I will post further images on my Blog later this week.
