New Quilts

I had a wander round the Quilt Show currently on at Rheged. Some excellent work by known and not-so-known Quilters. I was taken by a few pieces, but decide to blip one of four old quilts in the exhibition. These are part of the Hellbeck Collection, which is owned by the Blackett-Ord Family and goes on show quite regularly. This one dates from the 1790s and was made from a variety of floral dress fabrics from that period.
