I spotted these beauties as I trundled home from the last, this term of the music history course. I've found the history of the Renaissance surprisingly interesting. Not having appreciated before the variety of factors that affected musical development. So for instance we looked at how the enormous wealth of Spain's Phillip 2nd plus his musical literacy enabled a great flourish of composition from the Franco Flemish school to develop.
I'm not doing next term for the Baroque , but will join again when we reach Mozart.
