Firsts

Beginning a new decade affords an infinite number of "firsts". For instance, this was my first pre-dawn skyline as a forty-year-old. And today was the "first", first day of school of my new decade. At work we shared my" first" birthday cake of the nine more to come.

Especially because I experienced several "lasts" yesterday (for instance, the last time my husband will kiss his hot thirty-something wife goodnight) - I can attest that "firsts" are much happier to proclaim.

So much to celebrate!
