New Year's Day

A group of us went for a walk up the hills today. We walked for over two hours, up to a mast that dominates the landscape. It was too misty to appreciate the view, but it was a great way to see in 2009. And the party afterwards was great fun too. The forest was partially destroyed by a great fire about four years ago, and the charred remains of thousands of trees gives it an other-wordly appeal.
