Mitre and Coat of Arms...

..of the Bishop of Rochester on a fireplace in his palace today.

The palace is now part of Bromley Civic Centre but has history, not least being my teacher training college decades some years ago now. 

We took a small group of Year 6 pupils to meet the Mayor in his parlour in the Civic Centre before his year in office is over. He came to Prize Giving last summer and another meeting had been requested. They asked some very intelligent and relevant questions and enjoyed refreshments with the Mayor after the formal session was over. His motto of Honesty  Integrity  Transparency in everything  really stuck with me and I hope with the children too.
