urban heron

This is a town heron, fishing the river at the edge of St Andrews. He keeps tremendously still and most of the dogs and dog walkers walk by him oblivious. Occasionally he shifts from foot to foot, staring at the water. I've never seen him catch anything but then I don't have his patience.
