Short eared owl

Popped to farlington marshes today with hubby.

Just a quick visit to see how to get there and check out the parking.

We walked the 2.5 miles around the reserve.

Bit disappointed to start with but then got chatting to some lovely photographers, who told us all about the wildlife.

Then this stunning owl made an appearance...

I need a longer lens!!

Then back to the car... we could hear the breaded tits but it was rather windy so they kept hidden in the reeds.....

Hopefully going back again soon with a friend...
