DIY Filter and A Favourite Place

My attempt at this week's EP challenge using a DIY filter.  I tried to make this look like an old photograph of The Shore in Leith, Edinburgh.  I had to crop out the cars and used a dark grey stocking to create a misty effect. Then converted it to B&W. The extra shows the non DIY filter photo and the cars. I think even the newer buildings (eg the ones on far right) look old.

This is also a possible entry for another challenge - WBC  'A FAVOURITE PLACE' as I spend a lot of time walking around the harbour area at Leith taking photos.  I always see something new to photograph.
