Traditional Irish Wedding

We took this photograph at a reenactment of a traditional irish wedding. This photograph shows the bride getting hit over the head by an oatcake by her new mother in law. This tradition was very much seen as the best part of the day by the new mother in law :). This was the forerunner to many traditions around wedding cake's in Ireland.
