Moving into a different environment

Today we drove south into the Apache Mountains.  What a difference from yesterday!   We had forests and fields that were green and growing.  Wildflowers along the road.   The clouds were all around us and made for some wonderful lighting over the mountains.

This scene was at Safford.   Not much color so I changed it to black and white which I think shows the rays of sunlight and possibly some rain showers in a more dramatic light.    

We drove longer today than any other day we have been here.  With the changing landscape, we are seeing cacti!   Some photos of those in the extras. 

Tomorrow we might see some cowboys and gunfighters!
