Milestones

Feeling good today.

For the last few days, I haven't been able to notice any obvious progress - I was on a plateau.  I was doing more things, but the knee wasn't obviously less painful or more mobile. 

Today I noted visible progress.  I attended an outpatient appointment.  Getting in to W's car to drive to the hospital, I realised that lifting and bending my left leg to get it up into the car is suddenly much easier and less painful.  The orthopod (when he finally saw me, 2 and a half hours after my appointment time!) was pleased with my progress as well - next appointment in a year.

After the appointment, I noted I was able to "transition from sitting" without using my arms - just my quads.  Hurt a bit, but I did it.  Again - visible progress.

The trees around the hospital are looking very good with blossom at the moment.

Then after lunch, I DROVE MYSELF to the supermarket to get provisions.
