Countryside woes

I came upon this badly injured Buzzard on my afternoon walk. Luce had a quick look and decided her ball was more interesting. As I had no protective gear (have you seen their claws) I went to some friends who came out to help. The poor bird was badly injured to its head and one eye with blood elsewhere. We decided that the kindest thing was to put it out of its misery. Perhaps we should have called the RSPCA, maybe we'll be prosecuted but none of us can stand a suffering creature especially one of these beautiful birds. We think we did the right thing - you may differ in your opinion but I hope you'll agree.
