Long run & Mothering Sunday
My Mother's Day started with a 13.1mile run from Bonaly to Penicuik. No children. No one else, just me. It was the most glorious day, beautiful route through the hills, perfect temperature, half roads half hills, it should have been perfect! And boy was I horrid company today - I convinced myself that really I should pass my marathon place on to someone else, as I'm clearly not cut out to run a marathon. Still I made it round and that's 13.1miles done for the second time ever. Afterwards I had chats with various people telling me that it is perfectly normal to feel like that on a long run and that I was not to worry and would do the Marathon "easy" "fine" "no problem" which was then translated for me "you won't die" :-D
When I got back I hung up the washing, put on another load and waited sat in the sun for the others to get back from C's footie match. They returned with flowers for "flowers day" from D and Mother's Day from C. And I was given some hand made cards - including one that arrived by airmail (see my blip). They then disappeared off to play match attax while I helped A do a BBQ and hang out yet more washing. there really must be another family hiding in my house, how is so much washing possible?!
Exciting to have first BBQ of the year.
