Brightness

on a dull morning's walk.

We were under that central belt of cloud today unlike some of you in the UK who continued with the weekend's lovely sunshine. It has taken till late afternoon to get any brightness here.

A good 4 mile walk through Cottingley Woods from the village and I was looking out for brightness all the way. Lots of daffodils lining the village roads but I went for this Forsythia on the bridge over Harden Beck.
The little 'island' was swamped a couple of years ago and the daffs on it managed to flower later in the year but they seem to have disappeared now. See here

Another bright moment was seeing the ladies I walk with again especially A as she has been away for three weeks in Australia. Good to get back in the groove.
