In the gods...
Through to the Weeg to catch some bands as part of BBC 6Music Festival, which has been on all weekend.
Brilliant weather, some tasty poutine, burger and beer for lunch, a stroll along the river and then checked into our hotel before heading out again to the O2 Academy for a night of great bands.
First up were Honeyblood, a Glasgow band, who were fantastic. The sound and energy coming from the two of them was great.
Next up were Grandaddy, who we saw on Thursday night. They were so good (but miles away, as we were up in the gods) and headlining were the Portland band, The Shins, who I'd listen to on repeat in my early 20's (a couple of years ago now).
A cracking evening of music followed by a walk back to the hotel, some chips n cheese to soak up the beer and bed.
Perfect....well, apart from being so bloody far away from the stage (hence crappy blip).
