Out for a stroll

Sunday 26th March 2017 (1674)

A full morning with an early start the day the clocks changed nearly finished me off. I could have gone to sleep as soon as I got home at lunch time but I decided to take advantage of the lovely sunshine and have a change of scenery at Knowsley Safari Park. Everyone else appeared to do the same and it was heaving, so not as easy to stop and take photos. 

I set out with the intention of photographing the elephants though. They are soon to go on their holidays while they have a new house built. I only got a couple of shots in before they went into their pen for some food. I walked round the other side but when I got there they had finished and gone back out! By that time I had run out of energy. 

The mono treatment seemed to add to their texture and character.
