On the second day of our time at Hiroshima, we went on to Itsukushima, a small island best known as Miyajima (meaning the Shrine Island in Japanese). I captured this sign at the exit of Itsukushima Shrine. 

I was glad my grandmother was amazed; this was the sight where she had long wanted to reach.

In the afternoon we also visited Onomichi, a small city located in the prefecture and facing the Inland Sea. We rode a cable car and enjoyed the great view from the summit.
