Three Fishermen

Out early on Ohau Canal.

Having got my van back from the panelbeaters I felt I should take her for a run.  I spent the night here, hoping for a pretty sunrise.  The sun didn't show her face but there were plenty of fishermen about.

Just 'up stream' from here is a huge salmon farm.  Great fishing to be had and I saw a couple of good sized fish landed.

The canal was built as part of the MacKenzie country hydro scheme - hence the myriad of overhead lines.  A high percentage of New Zealand's power is generated from this area.
