Anglesey Abbey

I called in at this excellent National Trust Property on my way home from Suffolk. It was good to get away from everything to do with old people and care homes.  I rather liked this avenue of trees with the long view down to the statue at the end; it meant waiting around a bit as there were many people out enjoying the sun.

I pushed my mother round the grounds of her home so she could see the Spring- she enjoyed that. These care homes are sad places (however good) and I sincerely hope I never need to be in one.  So pitiful seeing the state of mind some residents are in - confused, endlessly calling for help, not knowing where they are.... The staff are very patient but it must be sorely trying!
