Derek's Dancing Dolls

A bizarre but wonderful piece of entertainment in between the dances at a Ceilidh we went to tonight at **Sherington Village Hall. The participants sit on what looks like a mini surf board. They hold a doll on a stick in one hand and hit the board with the other. The doll dances on the end of the board in time with the music. Magical!!!

**I once stood as a Labour candidate for the Milton Keynes Council in the Sherington ward. At the time I was teaching full time so I didn't really want to win the seat. Fortunately it's a very "Conservative" area. I got 57 votes. I breathed a sigh of relief but at least 57 Labour voters got to have their say.

Extra - food was provided but we had to take our own drinks.
