Door vined shut!

I took today off which was of course amazing. Pottered about at home then walked to Morninside to meet my pals, we had D&D planned. Kept forgetting today was not Saturday but in a nice surprise kinda way.
On the walk I took a few pictures but I just love this door. Would love to know what the story is. Did it just run wild or did they decide they didn't need the door anymore so planted these. It makes me think ot The Secret Garden.
