The downside of the day was that our local farmer also decided it was the perfect day to start muck spreading in the field at the bottom of our garden. Could that not have waited until Monday??? i was planning to come and go for a run, but that has given me the excuse I needed to stay indoors with wine.

J is best man at our friends' wedding next week, so today has been mainly about speech writing and buying a few props to help with the laughs. I'm really looking forward to it. I fear the happy couple are mainly looking forward to getting on with the day and going on holiday! I seem to remember being the same before our wedding.
