A Cup's A Cup

Even if it is the 'diddy cup' for teams below the top flight (plus a few from other places as of this season) it was good to watch United win the Challenge Cup this afternoon. Just on the telly as I didn't feel confident enough to end my final hoodoo by going there in person. Still actually one trophy behind Dundee as they've won the 'diddy cup' twice, assuming you count Scottish Cups and Scottish League Cups as equivalent (although is there a case for saying the Scottish Cup has more status..?) And the Dees have had more opportunities in the Challenge Cup having spent longer out of the top flight in recent years - this is only the second season United have been eligible. Last time they reached the final but lost on penalties to Stenhousemuir having not conceded a goal the whole tournament. So one better this time, and minor revenge against St Mirren for the 1987 Cup Final. But not really.
 
Apologies for the TV blip but it felt like circumstances merited it. Not every day the football team you support wins a trophy.
