Singapore Day 1

Guarding Raffles, trying to keep the riff raff out.

I think we've saved the best till last visiting Singapore at the end of the trip, first impressions of the city were very good and they just got better and better.
We started the day by visiting the Gardens by the Bay which is a huge Eco Park with two huge botanical domes and many high rise living tree like structures which you can walk around. I imagined being in the domes would be very hot and humid but in fact they were freezing. Every plant you can imagine from all around the would was living and breathing inside, the walkway and structures were also mind blowing.

I was the only one to do the skyway on the super tree grove between the high trees which offer stunning views.

The afternoon was spent wondering around the city and popping to raffles, we didn't go into the bar at this point but we did venture into the gift shop and bought a lovely poster to frame and put in our kitchen. It was about 22:00 before we returned to the famous hotel to enjoy a Singapore sling. It surpassed all my expectations in regards to atmosphere and the drink itself was pretty damn good for a cocktail. I only wish I could afford to stay a couple nights in this grand hotel.

Extras are:

Stunning sea view from the boat first thing,
Entrance to Cloud dome in the Gardens by the bay,
Mega structure of the dome from inside,
Another internal view,
High Platform we walked around,
View from below the Tree Grove,
View from on the Tree Grove.
