Sunrise Over the Valley

Opening my eyes this morning and then looking out of the door into the cold dawn I was met with this beautiful sight. The sun had just come up silently over the butte with it's rays barely reaching the valley floor, silhouetting the towering sandstone columns against the skyline. Stunning.

After going round Gouldings Trading Post Museum seeing life of a bygone era along with the memorabilia of movies made in the valley, we headed down to Sedona, travelling through glorious pine forests with snow on the verges. Children that we are we had a snowball fight - dressed for desert conditions in shorts. It will warm up further south.
