Water under the bridge
The next time Roman Abramovich invites you on board his yacht Eclipse, be assured that if you drop your Montecristo on the deck, the resulting conflagration is likely to be handled by firefighters trained here at the Warsash Maritime Academy in Southampton.
Talking boats with some of the staff this morning, one of the lecturers told a story about The World, a giant cruise ship that roams the oceans as effectively apartments afloat. The skipper shook his hand and said: "Pleased to meet you, I'm master of The World."
