Pastoral Mono

Dad taxi was on duty early evening and I headed out to collect from Bramhope. Having decided yesterday to love the last of the evening light while we have it I was pleased to get this from the car window.

I've taken photo of Almscliffe before a few times, I'm getting nearer with shot. I like the acknowledgement in this scene to pre human, pre farming, and now farming and settlement, all witness to the land being older and more dignified than our fleeting if often conceited residing here. Those that farm the land around here understand the wisdom of this more than most of us, we do well to respect and value them.

Where did that come from?
