Quiet

As all the students have gone home for a break in between Lent and Easter term, the whole town is much quieter. It is far more enjoyable cycling around and I have even started cycling at peak times (9am and 5pm) which I usually avoid due to being incredibly busy. One thing that I find interesting about Cambridge is that, unlike other towns and cities where the main problem for cyclists are cars, it is pedestrians and other cyclists here. There are lots of bike lanes and shared paths to reduce road travel, but there are so many terrible cyclists and pedestrians not looking where they are going that it can be very difficult to get from one place to the other. The bell I bought the other day is wonderful though :)

It was my final day in the bee lab today. I have a week to write my report, a couple of weeks holiday, and then I start with my PhD proposal. I can't wait to begin :)
