Early risers

I went for an early dentist appointment this morning- I say early, 9am, these gentlemen working had already been up for many hours.

This is the back work area of the bakery, they make wonderful bread and cakes and the smell is wonderful. They were quite amused when they spotted me with the camera, what had caught my eye was the lovely shaft of sunlight on the stalls.

One of the bakers originally worked in a small bakery in our village which, when I first moved here, was a treat to go to. Unfortunately as with many village businesses it shut down many years ago. Our loss, but then we would have probably weighed a lot heavier if they had stayed open, one crusty slice was never enough !!
