Tree on Tree

I spent rather longer than I expected close to Augustow station today. D. was off to Poznan, which is a long way from here. I took her to catch the train, and for once we were in good time. Plenty of time to shift her bag which seemed to contain large chunks of lead to the platform. Y. her sister was there to see her off too.

Imagine my glee when trying to start the van finding there were no ignition keys. Festively I searched the car, swiftly realising that Dr D. had left me without a viable means of transport. Living in this modern age I was able to ring her to enquire about the location of the keys.

It transpired that indeed my suspicions were correct. Quick thinking, and I expect a little fraught running up and down the train, won the day and D's uncle J. just managed to grab them in Dabrowa B. along the line.

Some time later both of D's sainted uncles brought me the keys.

In between times I had time to take a closer look at Augustow station. Augustow station was witness to some grim history and also enjoyed better times when there was a well tended garden. I noticed this pine tree growing unexpectedly high up which I thought was interesting.
