The Wave, sort of

It's a very big deal, going to first grade on the bus. Not if you ask the first grader though-just an ordinary day. Why the camera, the "interview", the adult chirpyness, when her own little peepers are still full of sleep? That's alright, decades from now the legions of first graders will be happy about today's fussing, all the pictures with backpacks bigger than themselves, little stick legs and that one curl of hair that just wouldn't cooperate on this momentous day. Hope it's the best year ever, peanut. x

PS. Our beautiful, elegant First Lady gave the speech of her life tonight at the DNC. And here I thought she couldn't be any cooler than she already is.
