Tidy
Saw Shizuoka play Iwate this afternoon. Great game. I wanted to get a photo of Iwate's number seven fielder, who received several rounds of applause for picking up the occasional piece of litter which would blow onto the pitch from time to time and then put it in his back pocket. Especially decent when he chased down one piece as the Shizuoka batter struck the ball.
To be fair to Shizuoka, though, their number seven fielder also picked up a piece of litter and put it in his pocket too. Also, each time they came out to field, all of the fielders respectfully removed their caps and bowed deeply to the spectators, whereas the Iwate fielders gave a quick nod of the head. So I certainly do not begrudge Shizuoka their magnificent 12-3 victory. Well played, both teams.
This isn't Iwate's number seven fielder, but it is one of Iwate's players.
A little taste of why I love this event so much.
