Denver's seeming ever-growing skyline
The tallest building built in Denver since 1984ish continues to grow as the city continues its building frenzy.
As an interesting note- all the buildings to the right of the crane have been added in the new boom since 2006.
The period of 2006ish to present and beyond may mark a period where Denver made some of the biggest blunders in urban development. Many of the new buildings going up across the city are ugly, poorly planned and greatly reducing the green spaces with in the city. (single apartment complexes take up the entire block and leaved no space for plantings) Its largely done to accommodate the massive influx of newcomers to the mile high city. It has its positive sides, but I think many of the buildings will quickly look outdated and.... worse cheap in a decade or two.
