After the Gold Rush

After the class shared their Ballads of 1st Period, Liz sang and I played for her, Neil Young's "After the Gold Rush." Liz's voice is so good, and I knew the first time I heard her, I had to have her sing for the class. "Flying Mother Nature's silver seed to a new home in the sun." Liz was a Lady Oaker basketballer, too, and being only a junior, she will be back next year. We will have her sing on many occasions.
