I decided to have a mooch about in town today - I wanted to have a look at some of the City of Culture things.

The blade has now been removed from Queen Victoria Square and the Weeping WIndow of Poppies has nearly been installed - surely it will be a blip in its own right one of these days!

It was a fabulous sunny day, so we headed down to the marina where there's a dog friendly cafe - however it was SO full that we sat outside at a very chilly, shadow-bound table. 

Opposite the chilly table was the most gorgeous spray painted shutter just asking to be a portrait background.
