Today's the day ...................... for the simple joys

What a difference a day makes!

Yesterday was cold and wintry with the odd snow flurry.  Today it was sunny and warm and spring was in the air.  We took ourselves (and Dominic) off to the National Trust's Sizergh Castle for a cup of coffee and a walk in the grounds.

Everything seemed to be bursting forth and bustling with activity.  We obviously annoyed this nuthatch because he sat on a branch and told us so very forcibly.  The orchard was full of daffodils - not the small native ones but very pretty nevertheless.  Dominic loved running about there between the trees and his joy knew no bounds when he found a daffodil lying on the ground.  It became his flag! 

The simple joys of life are always the best ...................
