Spring Cleaning

A steam train was apparently due in Lincoln Station at 10 AM today, so I set off to catch my train to Metheringham earlier than normal in hope of taking a few shots of it.

The station was awash with anorak-clad greybeards with cameras worth more than my house. One of them deigned to speak to me long enough to inform me that unfortunately it was late departing from York. So I missed out on that - it probably got to Lincoln as my train was pulling into Metheringham. 

Never mind - I got a shot of the Metheringham fire engine having a wash instead! The station there is crewed by on-call fire fighters, but I guess they have duties other than pitching up for emergencies too!
