The pools below the "Fountains of Love" at Caldas de Monchique reflect the heavy rain which luckily started after we finished a delightful walk through a terraced valley in the mountains. Apparently if a couple wash their hands together in the spring their love will be everlasting! We also drank from the "Spring of Youth but I doubt if it will make any difference to my looks. Unfortunately the spectacular view from the top of the 905 metre high top was hidden by thick fog in a temperature of 5c.
