A Wet WidWed in Grantham Market Place.

M for March and Market Place.  My original thoughts and photos were to re-take the same corner that I shot for WidWed67, but then I noticed this ‘sculpture’ against the alleyway and the buildings which were a bit more colourful, and I just had to shoot it.
 
This is “The Orrery” by the artist Paul Lewthwaite, and is based on Isaac Newton’s orrery, a mechanical device showing the movement of the bodies forming the solar system.  This is the earth and moon.  Apparently Venus is there too, but I must have tripped over her.
