.... I was on Shanks' Pony ..... walking back from the supermarket.

There is often one of these Speed Trap vans sitting at the top of the hill hoping to catch the speeding motorists. I don't know how many they catch because the van is in full view of the oncoming traffic ..... perhaps it's a training area.
