what we did today...

"I love the rain!"

I was lucky to miss all the rain this morning while out on my run. I headed over to Dirleton to collect work from the gallery that is closing. It didn't open til 11 so I went for a run around Archerfield first. It was supposed to be about 6 miles, but after a detour off the John Muir way due to diggers laying pipelines for the lighthouse, part of the route I had intended to use being a "dangerous, no entry to walkers" track through Muirfield golf course (yes, I was running and was tempted to ignore it) and my ability to get lost in sand dunes, I ended up running 8 miles. Long enough to love running next to the sea, hate running, wonder why I ever run and then get back to enjoying it again - and actually ending up doing 8 miles made me feel more positive about my stamina for running. I collected my paintings, and leftover mug stock then headed home because I'd forgotten my purse so couldn't go for my intended coffee stop.
I collected the boys from the skatepark after school. I expected to find them waiting impatiently as it was blowing a gale and raining heavily. D scooted out of the park claiming "that was the best scoot ever mum! I love the rain! " he's a nutter!
A was home late this eve so I took D to Beavers, then collected him and dropped C off at Scouts. We're near enough to walk - I wished we weren't - it's truely grim out there!
Sad to hear the news from London, so sad that innocent people get caught in these issues.
